Santacruzan 2013 and Street Fair
The Filipino-American Association of Tennessee will hold a colorful summer festival, “Santacruzan 2013 and Street Fair,” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday May 18 on Public Square. Alicia Lundquist, an internationally recognized musical performer, will host the event that celebrates the finding of the Holy Cross by Queen Helene, mother of Constantine, the first Christian Emperor of Rome. A beautiful procession will take place, including historic and symbolic personalities, with multicolored arches, flowers and songs. Besides the colorful parade at the Square, the celebration of Santacruzan 2013 will include a street fair that will allow the community to have a taste of Filipino and Asian cuisine, as well as exhibits, games, live music, singing, and folk dancing.View Larger Map
