Fantasy Football, Donald Trump & Janine Tugonon

My fantasy football team is undefeated & in 1st place!

NYoFace Football League Week 3 Standings
NYoFace Football League Week 3 Standings

Fantasy Football

My team, the Jtown ReversePandas, is in first place in the NYoFace Football League.  NYoFace is no longer the $100-per-team expert league it once was where I kept track of player contracts, college draft picks, and league trades in spreadsheets.  It is now an auto-draft league.  Most owners, if not all, did not edit their pre-draft rankings.  One can say, the teams and the standings are by luck-of-the-draw. But hey first place is first place.

ReversePandas btw is an anagram of my last name, with an added 's.'

I'm not surprised Enteng Da Dragons and Shoog Knights are in 2nd and 3rd.  Vince and I haven't made any moves, but Ledge (Shoog Knights) leads the league in transactions. I hope I don't regret not picking up Carson Wentz in Week 1.

I didn't get to change my roster this week so I get zero points from my tight end (which reminds me about the zero taxes Donald Trump has paid since 1995). Luckily, I'm matched up against cousin Richard and his team Richard's Raiders, winless and ranked #13 overall. I'm the favorite but barely.

Speaking of Donald Trump

The New York Times published Donald Trump's 1995 tax return and showed how he legally could have avoided paying taxes for nearly 2 decades until 2010.  Read below:
Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show.

The 1995 tax records, never before disclosed, reveal the extraordinary tax benefits that Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, derived from the financial wreckage he left behind in the early 1990s through mismanagement of three Atlantic City casinos, his ill-fated foray into the airline business and his ill-timed purchase of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.

Tax experts hired by The Times to analyze Mr. Trump’s 1995 records said that tax rules especially advantageous to wealthy filers would have allowed Mr. Trump to use his $916 million loss to cancel out an equivalent amount of taxable income over an 18-year period.

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani said this is legal and calls Trump a genius. Ok, let's agree that this is legal. But is someone a business 'genius' if his companies lost almost $1 Billion? Isn't that the foundation of Trump's presidential campaign -- that he can run the United States and turn it around just like his businesses?

I did think that Trump was dead back in the 90's with all his bankruptcy filings and bad business deals. No wonder he was able to climb out from under all that debt. He stiffed the average Joes and Jills and their small businesses to which his companies owed money, pocketed hundreds of millions of dollars, and laughed all the way to the bank.

Even after all this, millions of Americans are still planning on voting for him!

FilAm.us hits & Janine Tugonon

Hello Slovakia!
Yesterday, I installed the Feedjit counter and the Flag counter to see in real time the location of the site's visitors and which posts they were visiting.

From Googles stats, FilAm.us had more visitors from Germany and Slovakia than the Philippines. I can see how some Germans would be drawn to the site since Pia Wurtzbach is half German, but Slovakia? Now I wonder how many Filipinos and Filipinas live in Slovakia.

FilAm's post about Janine Tugonon was the most viewed yesterday, and that was posted 15 days prior. Plus, the cool thing was visitors originated from a google search (not from my having posted on Facebook or Twitter).

It turns out Janine Tugonon 'bared it all' for the Nu Muse calendar, for which she was the top vote getter. FilAm definitely has to do a follow-up on Janine Tugonon.
